While performing a routine safety stop after spearfishing invasive lionfish, scuba diver Grayson Shepard experienced an unforgettable encounter that underscores the awe-inspiring mysteries of the deep. Captured on video on May 10, 2015, in the northern Gulf of Mexico, Shepard came face-to-face with one of the ocean’s most majestic predators: a curious great white shark.
