A couple out dolphin watching off Florida’s Gulf Coast recently got an unexpected surprise — a great white shark cruising through the same waters.
According to WSVN / 7News Miami, the shark was spotted near the surface, close enough for the couple to film a quick clip and clearly identify it as a great white.
Great white activity in the Gulf rises during winter as sharks from the Atlantic move into warmer waters. I thought it was interesting this white shark was right next to numerous dolphin.
They are definitely on their menu and a big question researchers are asking is what these apex predators are eating in Gulf waters.

A Strange Wildlife Mystery from My YouTube Channel
I run a YouTube channel focused on wildlife, animal behavior, and unusual sightings. Recently, I came across a trail camera image that sparked a lot of confusion online.
At first glance, many people didn’t think it was a feral hog at all. Some even joked that it looked like a “polar bear hog” , a massive white, woolly animal photographed in the southern United States.
It’s one of those strange wildlife moments that makes you stop and look twice.

Wildlife surprises us all the time — whether it’s a great white shark appearing in Gulf waters during a dolphin tour or a strange animal turning up on a trail camera.
Sometimes the best stories are the ones that simply make you ask, “What am I really looking at?”
