Last week I had the honor and privilege of interviewing Cynthia Wigren co-founder of the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy on “Moore Outdoors” on KLVI AM 560. Listen to the podcast to learn about this great organization and its founding.

This discussion with Cynthia Wigren provides deep insight into the workings of the group and on great white sharks themselves.

Our Work With Children
Through the Wild Wishes® program and its Higher Calling Wildlife® conservation mentoring outreach, we are committed to connecting kids with shark experiences and education.
We specialize in working with children with critical illness, parental/sibling loss and those who have suffered abuse.
We have taken several children to the Texas State Aquarium to do the fun and very educational shark cage snorkel experience.
Wild Wishes® and Higher Calling Wildlife® co-founder and Gulf Great White Sharks author Chester Moore said the programs are touching lives.
“We grant wildlife encounters for kids facing special challenges and mentor them in conservation. Adding sharks to the program has been amazing. It lets kids know even if bad things have happened, their wildest dreams can still come true.”
In 2023, the program took a young boy named Jerry on a catch-and-release trip for nurse sharks in Biscayne Bay near Miami, Fl. with Capt. Mo Estevez.
We taught him the value of seagrass, clean waters and catch and release for sharks. It was an amazing time.
If you know of a shark-loving kid that’s facing special challenges, let us know how we can help them. Email me at chester@chestermoore.com.
